10+ years behind the camera.
Freelance videographer, DoP, camera operator and photographer — based in Essex / London, working across the UK and worldwide.

I'm Nitesh — a freelance videographer, DoP, camera operator and photographer with over 10 years delivering video and photography for corporate clients, media organisations, charities and live broadcast.
I've worked across the full range of production — from single-operator interview shoots to large multicamera, multi-operator broadcast setups, covering both recorded and live-streamed events on location throughout the UK and internationally.
I've been lucky to work on a wide range of exciting projects, with clients spanning broadcast, documentary, corporate and charity work, plus government, diplomatic and Royal events.

What Clients Say
"Always inspiring to see talented people doing what they do best. Nitesh Mistry's recent piece for TNTV, featuring an interview at the British Museum, is a great example of the thoughtful work he continues to create. It's been a pleasure connecting professionally, and I look forward to future collaborations and new stories ahead."
"Nitesh is my absolute go-to for camera work and production in the UK — the first person I recommend whenever someone asks who they should speak to about filming in London. He knows his stuff inside and out, and on top of that, he's an excellent collaborator and such a pleasure to work with."
Frequently asked
UK and worldwide — I hold a full UK driving licence and I'm available to travel for the right project. Recent work has taken me from Cape Town to Kuala Lumpur, Rome, Madrid, Munich and Frankfurt, as well as jobs across the UK.
Both. Solo, I can comfortably handle filming, lighting and sound on smaller productions myself. For bigger shoots I'll bring in additional camera operators, sound recordists or other crew as needed — and I also work as an experienced freelance camera operator slotting into crews that agencies or production companies have already built.
My core setup is built around a couple of full-frame, 6K RED-cinema Nikon ZR bodies — internal RAW recording with RED colour science and codecs — alongside a Nikon Z9 full-frame body for 8K video and stills, a full lens set and DJI drones for aerials. I'm not tied to one system though — I've also shot on Sony bodies when a job's called for it, and I bring in whatever support, lighting and microphones (wired, wireless lav, shotgun — whatever fits) the shoot needs. Rather than list every item here, tell me what you're planning via Start a Project or Contact and I'll make sure I've got the right kit lined up for it.
Yes — data wrangling, colour grading and asset management are all part of the DIT & Post Production service, alongside on-set video engineering. See the Services page for the full breakdown.
Mostly corporate and broadcast work, alongside charities and media organisations — conference livestreams, interviews, short documentaries and events. See Portfolio for examples.
I did — design and build, all of it. I enjoy that side of things and picked up the skills over time, so it made more sense to do it myself than hand it off.
Start with a short call — around 30 minutes — so I can understand what you need and whether I'm the right fit. From there I'll put a quote together, and once you're happy we'll lock in the date. Head to Start a Project to get that started, or email contact@niteshmistry.co.uk directly.
Yes. I hold a valid UK CAA Flyer ID and I'm certified to operate in the A1 and A3 Open Category subcategories, so all aerial filming and photography is flown legally, safely and in line with current UK drone regulations. See Services for more on the aerial work I offer.
